| USA-Fatal construction accident at arts center is under investigation |

Authorities spent Wednesday investigating an aerial lift accident that killed one local construction worker and seriously injured another at the future Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. This unfortunate incident resulted in a fatality and a second worker in a serious but stable condition. We urge everybody out there - at the coal face - to focus on Safety All Of The Time and particularly if using a Boom Lift/Cherry Picker or similar piece of plant. I don't know any details, but am well aware of the potential dangers. Remember to hammer away at the need for a SafeWork Method Statement, Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessment and Manage It. |
