The United Arab Emirates (UAE) pays high attention to security and safety at its planned nuclear facilities and will try to prevent any emergency and crisis, the official news agency WAM reported Tuesday, citing an official.

As more and more countries push forwards with nuclear facilities, designers and suppliers are set for rich rewards.  The old order is again being challenged by Asian powerhouse engineering exporters such as South Korea.  With 1,400 new nuclear plants forecast to be built by the year 2050 there is significant market potential.

Nuclear power provides a "nominally" clean source, but the real potential for catastrophic danger is in the operation, maintenance and design.
